WILDLAND FIRE SUPPRESSION
Williams Wildland Fire Services specializes in widland fire suppression and currently holds a
federal contract with the USFS for Region 8 Water Handling Equipment. We are dispatched
through the Florida Interagency Coordination Center located in Tallahassee, Florida and are
available for immediate deployment throughout the United States. We are called upon
frequently and fight fire alongside with and in cooperation with Federal, State, and other
private Firefighters. We have been integral in protecting lives and property in some of the
country’s most destructive wildfires for over 10 years. We are capable of providing a variety of
skilled and experienced incident management personnel and quality apparatus for wildland
fire and all-risk emergency incident preparedness, response and disaster relief purposes.
Typical customers of these services include government entities, non-governmental
organizations, and private client groups such as homeowners as well as corporate
landowners of natural areas. WWFS personnel and apparatus can be made available
for wildfire preparedness/standby, prevention, suppression, and private asset protection activities. At WWFS we strictly adhere to the chain-of-command as it pertains to the Incident Command System (ICS) when assigned to incidents and dealing with cooperating entities. Our workforce meets or exceeds the minimum training required by the NWCG PMS 310-1 and are required to maintain all necessary certifications to include Federally recognized red-cards. All personnel meet or exceed industry standards for their respective specialty and are physically fit responders, possessing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the task at hand. Many of these personnel possess advanced operations, planning, aviation, and dispatch qualifications. Examples of emergency response capabilities of WWFS include the ability to provide governmental entities with a short Incident Management Team (IMT) capable of advisement for or actual management of any type of incident whether it be a natural or man-made disaster, or a large-scale planned event. While we specialize in wildland fire suppression and prescribed burns, our crews of emergency response professionals are also capable of storm damage assessment, debris removal, and disaster relief tasks in the wake of the unimaginable, such as a hurricane or tornado.
Our employees, training and equipment are available for Agency Inspection and are all reviewed annually. We pride ourselves on Agency cooperation in an effort to become part of the solution to any incident or fire.
