Williams Wildland Fire Services, LLC is continually seeking highly motivated individuals to join our workforce. If you have no prior experience of wildland firefighting, there are free basic wildland firefighting courses and a Work Capacity Test "Pack Test"  that you must take to become wildland firefighter qualified, taking these courses also increase your chances of being hired. These courses can be found under our Courses page. We are always seeking personnel who have a background in natural resources management, wildland or structural firefighting and any other disaster response related field.  Individuals with structural firefighting experience should contact the WWFS's training department to see if their previous training meets Inbound's training requirements.Our personnel provide a diverse range of services to public and private clients, often under the most challenging circumstances imaginable.  The nature of our work requires the most diligent, selfless, creative, and hardworking individuals.  At WWFS, we put a huge emphasis on safety, professionalism and tactical profession in our operations.  Excellence is demanded; mediocrity is not tolerated. Job Openings:

 

Engine Boss (ENGB) - Performs the tasks of an Engine Boss in making the tactical decisions required to safely manage an engine and personnel on an incident, which includes:

-Maintain gear readiness per below

-Maintain OSHA 300 Log-

-Promissory notes (have employees sign for draws)

-Time Sheets sent in daily and bi-weekly (hopefully copies of CTRs.) 

-Track driver hours, sawyer hours, safety bonus suspensions, and draws. Document who trainees are.  Write HOTLINE and Sawyers on CTRs if applicable.  ENGB write crew member names on daily shift tickets

-Receipts for credit card purchases and petty cash purchases.  (turn in at end of assignment for reconciliation.  Use expense report as a log). 

-Gear readiness per contract

-Vehicles maintained and ready per contract (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, insurance cards, vehicle ID, etc...).  Made ready for dispatch upon return from incident.

-Radios (meet required amounts and standards - working correctly)

-Saws (meet required amounts and standards - working correctly).  See saw boss/sawyer responsibilities below.

-Adequate Nomex

-Weather Kits

-Appropriate copies of contract

-Copies of red cards-Copies of blue cards

-First Aid kits

-Cloning cable

-Contact with crew members

-Vehicle mileage logs kept (one for each engine)

-Keep copies of vehicle inspections at incident

-Time Sheets CTRS/shift tickets (submit per payroll calendar and back to office when returning

Keep daily safety meeting minutes (submit back to office when returning)

-Keep copies of daily IAP (submit back to office when returning)

-Adequate air filters, chains, etc...

-Turn in copies of invoices/evals when returning from incident-Ensure copies of CTRs/evals are made for every persons file (will provide office support) when returning from incident.-Portable drug test kit-Gear Issue logs

-And most importantly, lead crew in Prayer ever morning before beginning of shift

​Firefighter Type 1/2 (FFT1/2) - Participates in prescribed fire and other wildland fire operations: ignition, control, mop-up, suppression, monitoring, etc such as:

-Perform as a professional wildland firefighter on a hand crew or engine crew during a wildfire or prescribed burn

-Work outdoors in remote and exteme conditions with overnight camping under less than ideal conditions.

-Comply with the safety standards and work techniques to mitigate risk while on a hazardous duty assignment

-Contain and suppress wildland fires and perform duties as assigned

-Use hand tools, equipment and techniques to accomplish objectives-Perform basic fireline activities including line construction, hose lays, and the removal of fuels
